Examination Policy

The school is affiliated to CBSE and according to its guidelines the evaluation system of the school is formulated. From class L.K.G onwards scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas are well reflected in the progress report card. A strong academic curriculum is followed with emphasis on experimental learning through planned activities, audio visual aids and multiple intelligence lesson plans.

KG

KG classes are assessed in scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas throughout the year. A series of four tests for classes LKG and UKG will be conducted in two phases.

T1 and T3 -> Unscheduled (based on students day to day performance)

T2 and T4 – > Scheduled (evaluation in September and February)

Classes I to V

Academic year has two terms

  • First Term (April to September)
  • Second Term (October to March)
Type of assessment (Term 1)
  • Unit test-I (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of July
  • Half yearly examination (Pen paper test + notebook + subject enrichment) M.M. 80 in the month of September.
  • Unit test-II (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 m in the month of December.
  • Annual examination (Pen paper test + notebook + activity) M.M. 80 in the month of February/March

 

CBSE has reintroduced board examination for class X from academic year 2018-19 onwards. The new scheme for classes VI to VIII has been designed on term assessment basis with gradual increase in the learning assessment as the students move forward. This would prepare the students to cover the whole syllabus of the academic year and face the challenge of class X board examination and would thus, ensure the quality of education.

Classes VI to VIII

Type of assessment (Term 1)
  • Unit test-I (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of July
  • Half yearly examination (Pen paper test + notebook + subject enrichment) M.M. 80 in the month of September.
  • Unit test-II (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of December
  • Annual examination (Pen paper test + notebook + activity) M.M. 80 in the month of February/March

Classes IX and XI

Type of assessment for classes IX and XI
  • There will be two cycles of unit tests, half yearly and annual examination including components like projects, practical and internal assessment.

Classes X and XII

Type of assessment for classes X and XII
  • There will be unit tests, half yearly exam, practice papers and pre board examinations including components like projects, practical and internal assessment.

 

Promotion Policy

Criteria for promotion to the next class (I to VIII)

  • Students must secure 33% marks in written examination.
  • The performance of the whole year to be taken into account for each subject.
  • No test will be re-scheduled for the absentees.

Criteria for promotion to the next class (IX and XI)

  • Students must secure 33% marks in the written test/examination.
  • The performance of the whole Year to be taken into account for each subject.
  • Students must pass separately in projects, practical and assignments.
  • Attendance of the students in school should not be below 75% of the total working days.

Classes X and XII

To be eligible to take CBSE examination, students must achieve a consistently good record of academic performance and fulfill the attendance requirements as stipulated under CBSE rules.
